Outpatient Therapy and Psychiatric services
Our treatment team works with you to identify the problem and develop a solution. We will also work with your support network of family, spouse and/or family physicians to get you the results you desire.
Outpatient therapy services are available to individuals of all ages as well as families. If you experience anxiety, depression, severe frustration and anger, relationship stress or grief or just don’t know how to cope with life, therapy services may help you find the answers.
Pointe East Center for Mental Health
Pointe East is a 15-bed acute inpatient psychiatric facility that provides care on a short-term basis for adults and seniors age 18 and older. Conditions such as severe depression, anxiety disorder, panic disorder, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorder, and other mental illnesses can be properly treated through Behavioral Health Services Pointe East.
Another important element
Your privacy is of utmost importance. To assure privacy, Alpena Regional Medical Center offers a private entrance partitioned off from the rest of the hospital. In addition, a doctor’s referral is not necessary to receive services. Many of our patients self-refer as a result of their own emotional pain or frustration or are urged by family, close friends, or their employers.
You are not alone
One in four families has a family member who will experience a mental illness during their lifetime. Abraham Lincoln, Vincent VanGogh, and Charles Dickens all suffered from a mental illness.
